Dr. Judith Kadarusman Pollack is a Presentation Coach and Professional Development Consultant. As a graduate student, Judith has made her share of presentation blunders, but by the time she graduated, she impressed her committee members at her PhD defense by giving a GREAT defense presentation that set the tone for success.
The Defense Presentation is not *just* another presentation. A GREAT Defense Presentation will convince your audience, especially your committee member, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you deserve that “PhD.” Just because you have given 10-20 presentations does not mean that you can successfully give a defense presentation. That’s because the Defense Presentation requires specific elements, and you need to acquire a specific skill set. If you knew how to make a great Defense Presentation, then any of your presentations leading to it will prepare you for the big day.
Now Dr. Pollack shares the secrets of a GREAT defense presentation to graduate students of all stages.
She is known for facilitating workshops that will instantly improve your presentation. Her friendly personality and insightful feedback encourage even the most fearful person to “Stand Up and Speak Well!”
Dr. Pollack received her PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2008. She is an Advanced Leader and Advanced Toastmaster Bronze, as well as past president of two Toastmasters Clubs. She has worked with graduate students in PROMISE: Maryland’s Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP). She currently consults for The Graduate School at UMBC, and is the owner of JKP Professional Development Consulting.
